Channing Tatum’s Gambit is making another appearance ahead of Avengers: Doomsday. This time he’s bringing a little robotic backup along for a Dunkin’ run. The new commercial, titled “MUNCHKIN Incursion,” pairs Tatum’s mutant with H.E.R.B.I.E., the Fantastic Four’s helpful little clanker assistant, in a promotional spot that gives Marvel fans another taste of the upcoming movie while introducing a nationwide Dunkin’ collaboration. (Question? When did we stop calling it Dunkin’ Donuts? Or is that just one of those Earth-616 things?)
The commercial has Gambit reaching for an Iced Captain’ccino while H.E.R.B.I.E. arrives carrying Doomsday and Avenging MUNCHKINS. Their ordinary donut break doesn’t stay ordinary for long. As the worlds of Marvel begin colliding, the pair find themselves caught up in the sort of trouble that makes a quick coffee stop considerably more complicated.
Channing Tatum is reprising his role as Gambit for the spot, continuing the character’s journey toward Avengers: Doomsday. The mutant previously appeared in Deadpool & Wolverine. Fans will get to see him join a much larger collection of Marvel heroes when the next Avengers movie arrives in theaters on December 18, 2026.
Dunkin’ officially launched its nationwide collaboration with Marvel Studios on November 4. The promotion goes well beyond the commercial, with a limited-time menu of character-inspired drinks and treats, collectible merchandise, and four Dunkin’ locations getting full Marvel-themed makeovers later this month.
The drink lineup has six options inspired by characters and teams from the movie. The Iced Captain’ccino combines espresso, caramel flavor and coffee milk in a lightly blended drink served over ice. The Clobbered Cloud Latte takes inspiration from The Thing, pairing espresso and toasted white chocolate flavor with Cookie Butter Cold Foam and crumbles that resemble the rocky exterior of Marvel’s favorite orange powerhouse.
Black Panther gets the Wakandan Daydream Refresher, made with a Berry Clementine Refresher, raspberry flavor and oatmilk, topped with Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam. Cyclops inspires the Optic Blast Lemonade, a sweet-tart lemonade with blue raspberry flavor. Doctor Doom gets two drinks of his own: Doom’s Orders Energy, made with Green Apple Dunkin’ Zero, sparkling water and Purple Marshmallow Cold Foam, and the Doom Cloud Latte, which combines espresso, mocha swirl and vanilla flavors with Sweet Cold Foam and cocoa powder.
The bakery case is getting in on the invasion, too. The Doomsday Donut brings back Dunkin’s Brownie Batter Donut, this time with chocolate icing and green and chocolate sprinkles inspired by Doctor Doom. The Avenging Donut is filled with cotton candy and topped with vanilla-flavored icing and red, yellow and blue sprinkles representing the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four. Fans can also pick up Doomsday and Avenging MUNCHKINS, with Glazed Chocolate and Buttermilk donut holes getting their own hero- and villain-inspired treatments.
There’s a collectible side to this promotion, and Doctor Doom appears to have claimed the most obvious prize. Dunkin’ is offering a 25-count MUNCHKINS tin designed after Doom’s mask and green hood for $14.99 with the purchase of any 25-count MUNCHKINS order. The tin is available at participating locations while supplies last.
The rest of the merchandise includes Avengers: Doomsday-themed tumblers for $24.99, a color-changing mug for $14.99, Glove Cup Sleeves for $19.99 and standard Character Cup Sleeves for $8.99. The designs feature Doctor Doom and characters from the Avengers, X-Men and Fantastic Four. The color-changing mug starts out black before revealing film and Dunkin’ branding with character-inspired icons. The glove sleeves feature Doctor Doom, Black Panther, Mister Fantastic and Captain America.
And if a themed coffee cup isn’t quite enough Marvel for one morning, Dunkin’ is also turning four restaurants into destinations inspired by the movie. Los Angeles gets a Fantastic Four-themed location at 6201 Hollywood Boulevard on November 17. Chicago will have an X-Men takeover at 10 West Chicago Avenue on the same day. The Avengers get their New York City location at 102 8th Avenue on November 18, while Doctor Doom takes over the Dunkin’ at 209 North Harvard Street in Allston, Massachusetts, also on November 18.
The transformed restaurants are expected to remain in place through early December, giving fans a limited window to visit each location while the movie promotion is underway.
Marvel fans have already started discussing the collaboration online, and the reaction is a little more complicated than a straightforward victory lap. The Doctor Doom MUNCHKINS tin has attracted some appreciative comments, and a few fans are looking forward to trying the themed treats. The Optic Blast Lemonade, however, has become a point of debate because Dunkin’ made it blue raspberry instead of red, despite Cyclops being famous for his red optic blasts. Some commenters have also questioned whether the food and drink concepts match the characters as closely as they could. Apparently, even a promotional lemonade can start a Marvel argument.
The full menu and merchandise collection are available beginning November 4 at participating Dunkin’ locations nationwide, with collectibles available while supplies last. The restaurant takeovers follow later in the month, just as the countdown to Avengers: Doomsday gets closer to its December 18 theatrical release.
