Fortnite Reveals ‘Obsession’ Freaky Nikki Skin in New Fortnitemares Gameplay Video

Obsession Fornite Nikki Fortnitemares

Fortnite is bringing one of 2026’s most unsettling horror characters into the game just in time for Halloween. Nikki Freeman from Obsession, played by Inde Navarrette, is getting her own outfit, accessories, and an emote built around one of the movie’s most memorable scenes.

Now, HYPEX has shared a closer look at Nikki in action, including gameplay footage and a side-by-side comparison of her signature frown.

The crossover arrives in the Fortnite Item Shop on October 21 as part of the game’s ongoing Fortnitemares festivities. The showcase gives fans a proper look at Nikki’s red-and-black party outfit, black boots, and facial expressions, including the super-frown that has become one of the character’s most recognizable features. Her model also features a crazy smile and a unique idle animation in the lobby.

There is one noticeable change from the movie. In Obsession, Nikki’s blood-splattered appearance is a particularly disturbing part of her look. Fortnite swaps the red blood for a black substance resembling motor oil or grease, keeping the visual effect while fitting the game’s Teen rating. It’s a strange adjustment for a character whose appearance is so closely tied to the horror of the film, but the rest of the outfit stays recognizable.

Nikki’s accessories include the One Wish Willow back bling, which plays a sound effect when she eliminates another player, and Nikki’s Broken Bottle pickaxe. The crossover also includes the “No No No Don’t Do That” emote, recreating the scene in which Nikki holds up a series of placards bearing her increasingly frantic warning. The setup recalls the famous card scene from Love Actually, except the message gets more alarming with each sign. Equip the emote with Nikki’s outfit and it gets a special version featuring the character’s familiar expression.

HYPEX has shared several looks at the crossover, including the full outfit and emote showcase, a comparison between Navarrette’s on-screen frown and the in-game version, and footage of Nikki during gameplay.

The Nikki outfit is expected to cost 1,500 V-Bucks, although Epic Games has not confirmed the final price. The crossover is scheduled to hit the Item Shop on October 21 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, which works out to 5 p.m. Pacific. Players in the UK and parts of Europe will see it arrive in the early hours of October 22.

The timing is fitting for Obsession, which has found a new audience through its viral horror appeal. Bringing Nikki into Fortnite gives fans a chance to take the character into battle themselves, complete with the frown, the bottle, and that increasingly desperate series of signs.
