This year’s perfect Halloween couples costume isn’t Spider-Man and MJ, or even Nathan Fielder and Elizabeth Holmes. It’s Bear and Freaky Nikki. Universal knows this. So we’re getting official Obsession Halloween costumes. And they’re available right now over at the NBCUniversal Online Shop.
Blumhouse and Universal are taking all of the legwork and thrift store hunting out of the equation with not just one, but two iconic costumes based on the lead characters from this year’s breakout horror smash Obsession, and it even features a foam brick for a little steering wheel action later in the evening.
Sure, the discourse is loud about whether Bear or Nikki is the true villain. Unlike Halloween Horror Nights, which only has Nikki walking around, Universal’s online shop is offering two distinctly different costumes, allowing you to slip into the skin of either Freaky Nikki (played by Inde Navarrette, who’s making her SNL debut on Halloween) or Bear (played by Michael Johnston, who’s next gig will be a reboot of The Mummy alongside Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz) for your incoming All Hallows’ Eve shindig.
Don’t worry, these two costumes are modestly priced at $74.95, which is almost cheaper than shopping at Goodwill (seriously, have you seen the prices there lately?). Both costumes ship in early October, so there’s no reason to hyperventilate, or rush around trying to find that perfect screen-matched mini-dress or sweater. And Universal knows people of all shapes and sizes love Obsession, so we’ve got options ranging from teensy Bear to thicky Nikki with sizes running SM to XXL.
The pièce de résistance?
