‘The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power’ Seasons 1 and 2 Coming to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD in November

Rings of Power 4K Blu-ray

Hot on the heels of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 3 trailer, the series is making its way to physical media, with the first two seasons of Prime Video’s fantasy series arriving on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and DVD next month.

Amazon MGM Studios has announced that Seasons 1 and 2 of The Rings of Power will be available on all three formats beginning November 3, 2026, giving fans the opportunity to add the series to their home video collections. Both seasons are available to preorder now.

Set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, the series explores the Second Age of Middle-earth, following the rise of Sauron and the events surrounding the creation of the Rings of Power. The story takes viewers across familiar and previously unexplored corners of Tolkien’s world, from the forests of Lindon and the Misty Mountains to the island kingdom of Númenor.

The first season introduces an ensemble of characters whose lives become increasingly connected as an ancient evil begins to reemerge. Among them are Galadriel, Elrond and the mysterious Halbrand, whose true identity becomes one of the season’s central revelations.

Season 2 continues the story as Sauron’s plans take shape and the struggle for Middle-earth grows more dangerous. The series expands its focus on the forging of the Rings, the political divisions within Númenor and the conflicts threatening the Elves, Dwarves and other inhabitants of Middle-earth.

The cast includes Morfydd Clark, Markella Kavenagh, Robert Aramayo, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charlie Vickers, Daniel Weyman, Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Megan Richards, Charles Edwards and Robert Strange.

The series features direction from Charlotte Brändström, Louise Hooper, Sanaa Hamri, J.A. Bayona and Wayne Che Yip, with writing credits including J.D. Payne, Patrick McKay, Gennifer Hutchison, Jason Cahill, Helen Shang, Stephany Folsom, Glenise Mullins, Nicholas Adams and Justin Doble.

For physical media collectors, the announcement means both seasons will be available outside the Prime Video streaming platform. The 4K Ultra HD option should be of particular interest to fans looking to revisit the show’s elaborate Middle-earth environments and large-scale fantasy sequences on disc.

Amazon MGM Studios has not provided a breakdown of the individual editions in the announcement, including pricing, disc counts, packaging or bonus features. Additional details about the releases may be available through participating retailers.
