Fortnite is setting sail with the Straw Hat Pirates. Epic Games has revealed Treasure Hunters, a pirate-themed mini-season launching November 1 that brings One Piece characters, a new island, special abilities, A$AP Rocky, a treasure hunt and a whole lot more to Battle Royale.
The adventure will continue through November before building toward a Chapter 7 finale on December 5.
The new 80-player Crossbones Isle brings locations from One Piece into Fortnite, including Arlong Park and Windmill Village. Players can use cannons to launch themselves across the island. They will be able to battle rival crews as well as search for hidden loot. The update also replaces the familiar Battle Bus with the Going Merry, the ship used by the Straw Hat Pirates.
The crossover goes beyond character outfits. Players can wield Luffy’s Gum-Gum Fruit powers and take on opponents with Zoro’s Three Sword Style. Epic is also teasing mysterious Sprites. There will be a ton of new weapons. Even Captain X’s mega chest is making an appearance, which holds another secret for players to uncover.
Treasure Hunters will introduce new captains and their crews throughout the mini-season. The first Captain’s Day begins November 1, with additional events scheduled for November 7, 12, 14, and 21. Epic also plans recurring Mastery Mondays and Treasure Hours Sundays, bringing special weapon and loot bonuses to matches.
The Battle Pass features two major One Piece characters, Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin, alongside anime-inspired versions of Jonesy, Cuddle Team Leader, and Charlotte. Players who gift the Battle Pass to a friend will both receive a bonus Dark Kawaii Team Leader outfit style.
The Item Shop will offer more characters from the anime, with Luffy, Nami, and Usopp arriving on November 1. Zoro and Sanji follow on November 7, along with Tony Tony Chopper as a Sidekick rather than a playable Outfit. Buggy is scheduled for November 13.
The crossover isn’t the only collaboration arriving during the mini-season. A$AP Rocky is getting his own in-game battleship location, the S.S. Rocky, where players can challenge him and use his Shock Rocket. His Item Shop arrival is scheduled for November 5. Lil Uzi Vert follows on November 12, while Kasane Teto and Cap’n Hatsune Miku arrive November 14.
Epic’s announcement keeps the focus on the search for hidden treasure, with new content arriving throughout November. The season is also setting up a larger event at the end of Chapter 7. Players should keep December 5 open for the finale, although Epic has not yet revealed what the event will involve.
For One Piece fans who have been waiting to see the Straw Hats join Fortnite, the wait is almost over. Treasure Hunters launches November 1, bringing the Going Merry and its pirate-themed combat to the island. And with more captains arriving as the month progresses, the treasure hunt won’t end when the first crew sets sail.
