LEGO Godzilla Stomps In With 5,363 Pieces and a Wallet-Destroying Price Tag

Godzilla Lego Ideas

Godzilla is about to stomp into the LEGO universe, and he isn’t exactly arriving on a budget. The newly revealed LEGO Ideas Godzilla set (21375) packs 5,363 pieces into a towering Monsterverse version of the King of the Monsters. It stands more than two feet tall, comes with plenty of movable parts, and will cost collectors a whopping $449.99 when it arrives on November 27, 2026.

That price might make your wallet feel like Tokyo after a visit from Godzilla, but the finished model is certainly built to make an impression. The gray-and-blue creature stands over 27.5 inches (70 cm) tall, measures approximately 10.5 inches (27 cm) wide, and stretches 15.5 inches (40 cm) long. LEGO describes it as the largest creature model ever produced for the LEGO Ideas line.

The design takes its inspiration from Legendary’s Monsterverse version of Godzilla. Its body uses overlapping gray LEGO bricks to create a scaly appearance, while the jagged dorsal fins feature several shades of blue. The result is a massive display model with plenty of texture, rather than a simple block-built interpretation of the giant monster.

Godzilla also has more movement than you might expect from a creature this size. Builders can pose his head, shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, and limbs, while the tail can be adjusted from side to side. The set includes an interchangeable mouth element, allowing owners to display Godzilla with his tongue or swap it out for a blue Heat Ray blast. Because even a LEGO version of the King of the Monsters needs to be ready to flatten a city.

Here are the main details for the LEGO Ideas Godzilla set:

The set also has an interesting fan-designed history. Godzilla began as a submission to LEGO Ideas by New York-based fan designer Matthew Esposito, who goes by MattE720. The LEGO Ideas platform allows fans to submit original builds for consideration. Designs that reach 10,000 supporters can be reviewed by LEGO for possible production. Esposito’s Godzilla concept made it through that process, with LEGO designers Jordan David Scott and Jim Clayton helping develop the final retail version.

LEGO is also giving early buyers an extra monster-sized reason to place an order. Anyone who purchases the Godzilla set between November 27 and November 30, while supplies last, will receive the complimentary 359-piece Godzilla Logo & Footprint display set. The bonus build features a brick-built Godzilla footprint with a blue Godzilla logo, burning miniature skyscrapers, and a printed Mothra element. It’s designed to sit alongside the enormous main model, giving collectors a little extra destruction for their display shelf.

The main set will be available through the LEGO Store beginning at 12:01 a.m. on November 27. LEGO has also scheduled an official design-team livestream for November 3, offering a closer look at the project and the people who helped bring Esposito’s fan creation to life.

At 5,363 pieces and $449.99, LEGO Godzilla is a serious commitment for anyone planning to add the King of the Monsters to their collection. At least this time, the destruction is confined to your display shelf and your bank account.
