Horror director Ti West is bringing a ghost story to Apple Vision Pro this Halloween season. Remnants, a 27-minute horror film set inside a haunted castle, arrives Friday, October 16, through the Apple TV app as part of Apple Immersive Video.
The film takes viewers to Woldmere Castle, where dark secrets are waiting to be uncovered. Apple’s official synopsis offers little else about the story, leaving the specifics of the haunting under wraps ahead of its release. The film is rated PG-13 in Apple’s U.S. listing.
West is best known for directing the horror films X, Pearl and MaXXXine, the trilogy starring Mia Goth. His work has made him a familiar name among modern horror fans, making Remnants an intriguing addition to Apple’s immersive video catalog.
Rather than watching the ghost story on a conventional television screen, Apple Vision Pro owners will be able to experience Remnants through Apple Immersive Video, a format designed to place viewers inside a scene using immersive visuals and Spatial Audio. The technology gives filmmakers a different way to approach horror, where the surrounding environment can become part of the experience.
Remnants arrives just ahead of Halloween, offering Vision Pro users a new way to spend 27 minutes with a haunted castle and whatever might be lurking inside it.
