‘Clayface‘ Popcorn Bucket is Ready to Reach Out And Grab You

Clayface Popcorn Bucket

Usually you’re the one reaching in to grab another handful of popcorn and shove it in your face. But when it comes to the new Clayface popcorn bucket, it wants to reach out and grab you.

Cinemark Theatres is officially showing off their spooky new Clayface “figural hand” popcorn bucket, which you’ll start to see popping up in theaters across the country before this DC horror flick makes its big-screen debut on October 23, 2026, timed for Halloween.

This thing looks like a nightmare for anyone who hates finding foreign objects in their food. Luckily enough, the hand does unscrew from the bottom of the bucket. I’m personally freaked out by this particular snack recepticle, more so than the naughty Dune bucket that caused this trend to skyrocket.

Design and Features

  • Features a creepy, clay-like melted hand emerging right from the center of the rounded container.
  • The hand is detachable so fans can display it as part of a collection.
  • Includes official “Clayface” branding on the front.
  • Pairs with a themed tumbler cup featuring a distorted, scary look.

Cinemark Theatres and Marcus Theatres decided to show off their new theater lobby merch on social media as opposed to sharing it with any official sort of traditional corporate press release.

It was announced today that tickets for Clayface are now on sale, which Cinemark also announced on their X account. The tickets are ready for presale at all major theater chains. Luckily I’m stuck in a trailer in the middle of nowhere, here in the great Northwest. No one goes to the Albany Regal Theater. So I personally have the luxury of never having to pre-buy tickets. Believe it or not, I can just walk right in and get whatever seat I want.

Clayface is a full-fledged body horror movie that was intentionally set for release around Halloween. It is Rated R, so you know it’s not pulling any punches when it comes to strong bloody violence and gore. A lot of fans are comparing it to DC’s standalone Joker movie, which went on to win Oscars.

This isn’t so much a superhero movie as it is a hyper-stylized companion to The Substance, with its visceral body melting and David Cronenberg-like transformations. Mike Flanagan wrote the original script, but changes have been made since he turned in his final draft, so expect his certain type of flavor to only be lingering around this release.

Clayface was originally supposed to drop into theaters on September 11, but then Warner Bros. decided it made more sense as their key piece of Halloween entertainment for the year. With that, we get a spooky popcorn bucket that will also double as a candy bucket for your trick-or-treating needs.

So reach out and grab that thing.
