Tubi is giving horror fans an unusual way to arrive at the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride this Halloween weekend. The streaming service has transformed a vintage hearse into an immersive horror experience, offering free rides from the event’s parking lot to its entrance in Griffith Park.
The Tubi Haunted Hearse will be operating October 29 through 31, between 6 p.m. and 11 p.m. PT. The vehicle is outfitted with eerie imagery and unsettling surprises designed to turn the short trip into part of the evening’s entertainment.
Riders will also have opportunities to capture their reactions through photo and video experiences. Tubi says guests can leave with shareable clips and giveaway items, giving the activation a little more to take home than a memory of the ride. I really hope they are giving away Psycho Side Chick and One Night Stand merch, otherwise what’s the point?
The experience is part of Terror on Tubi, the platform’s year-round destination for horror fans. The hub brings together more than 13,000 hours of horror content, including movies and Tubi Originals. What was previously a seasonal collection has become a permanent part of the free streaming service.
The Haunted Hearse brings that horror branding out into the real world, giving visitors a taste of the scares before they even reach the main attraction. The pickup location is the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride parking lot at 4730 Crystal Springs Drive in Griffith Park.
There is one important distinction for anyone planning a visit: the hearse shuttle is free, but the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride is a separate ticketed attraction. The free ride gets guests from the parking lot to the entrance; it does not include admission to the event.
The Haunted Hayride returns to Griffith Park with its Halloween attractions, including the Fallen Angel experience and Elvira’s Trick or Treat Mayhem. Anyone already planning to attend can add the hearse ride to the evening’s itinerary.
