Psycho Side Chick sounds like my favorite kind of thriller. Tubi has released the first trailer for this domestic horror show, unleashing a new iconic for Halloween named Kelsey.
And here I thought it was just going to be another boring Saturday night, sitting alone in my camper, staring at the ceiling like I was trapped in some country song from the ’70s. But along comes Tubi with something that changes my entire outlook on life and truly gets me excited about the art of cinema.
I’m being serious. They’ve got a brand new thriller in one of my favorite sub-genres: Booty Calls Gone Bad. And it’s streaming for free tonight. Yes! I can’t wait to watch Psycho Side Chick.
I’m more than proud to share the very first trailer with you, which looks decidedly off the rails in the best Tubi way possible. These Tubi originals are really changing my life around for the better. I may lovingly call it Tubi Trash, but you all know this is a straight up treasure.
“This chick’s not crazy, she’s a serial killer!” The woman scorned in Psycho Side Chick isn’t interested in getting over her ex. She wants him back, and anybody who gets in the way might wind up dead.
The new trailer for this Tubi Original thriller introduces a woman whose obsession with her married lover turns into a murderous fight to reclaim him, even as his wife looks ready to pop with child. This is exactly what I love to see from Tubi. Unhinged madness that will leave a big smile on my face. Let’s just hope Kelsey hasn’t illegally downloaded Crudo’s new album and burned it onto a CD for poor Mario (those who know, know).
Najah Bradley stars as Kelsey, a woman whose relationship with Mario (Blair Anthony Hall) takes a disastrous turn when she discovers the man she’s involved with has a wife. Tatiana Le’Joy plays Chloe, Mario’s wife, while Niles Austin appears as Jerrell and Chuanica Pickard plays Paris. Rachel Comeau, Ulrike Stewart, Monanik Dugar and Melanie Frometa also star.
The film is directed by Booker T. Mattison, who has built a growing relationship with Tubi. His previous work for the streamer includes Twisted Marriage Therapist and An Unusual Suspect. Mattison also wrote and directed The Sound of Christmas, the BET+ holiday film starring Ne-Yo. Mattison is certainly someone to keep an eye on. This is real cinema. The kind we just don’t get at the multiplex anymore. And as far as I know, it’s free of AI slop.
Psycho Side Chick comes from MegaMind Media in association with Tubi. Lynette J. Blackwell wrote the screenplay from a story by Octavia Singleton, with Donte Lee, Tressa Azarel Smallwood and Jacobo Rispa producing. Blackwell’s other credits include the BET+ holiday film Style Me for Christmas and the STARZ thriller They Took My Daughter.
The movie also received a festival screening ahead of its streaming debut. Psycho Side Chick opened the Reel Sisters of the Diaspora Film Festival’s 29th anniversary season during its Harlem kickoff on October 13, giving audiences an early look before the film arrived online.
Psycho Side Chick premiered free on Tubi on October 16, 2026. The 92-minute thriller is rated TV-MA for language and violence. Watch the official trailer and find out just how far Kelsey is willing to go to get her man back. If you want to know where I’ll be this Saturday night, in my camper watching Psycho Side Chick in my mini theater. I cannot wait. I haven’t been this excited about a movie in a long, long time.
