I’ve never seen Heated Rivalry, but if you want me to be your wingman at the theater, you best be buying me one of these new themed cocktails. Because I’m getting thirsty just looking at the poster for this wild upcoming screening series.
Regal is bringing a little extra heat to the movie theater with two limited-time cocktails inspired by Heated Rivalry, including one named after Ilya Rozanov’s famous refusal to admit that he blushes.
Starting November 6, participating Regal locations will offer the Heated Rivalry drinks as part of the theatrical celebration for the hit hockey romance series. The menu includes “Summer in Montreal,” a Malibu Rum lemonade with candied orange, grenadine, and brew glitter, and “Russians Don’t Blush,” a Bee Sting cocktail made with Mike’s Hot Honey Syrup for a sweet kick of heat. Hmm. Never thought about putting hot honey in my cocktail before, but it’ll give me a reason when my seat mate catches me blushing.
The names should be familiar to fans of the series, which follows rival professional hockey players Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) as their competitive relationship develops into something much more complicated. “Russians Don’t Blush” is especially fitting for Ilya, who has a memorable response when someone suggests he is blushing.
The cocktails are part of a larger theatrical event bringing all six episodes of Heated Rivalry Season 1 to theaters from November 6 through November 30. Regal is leading the release, with screenings at more than 275 of its own locations and a total reach of over 650 theaters nationwide, including AMC, Cinemark, and other participating exhibitors.
Episodes will be shown in three pairs, with each screening priced at $9.99. Regal screenings will also include filmed greetings from the cast and creator, writer, and director Jacob Tierney. The themed cocktails, however, are only available at participating locations, so check your theater before making plans around a drink. I mean, you should already know if your local Regal has a bar. When I’m in a new town, it’s the first thing I check before buying a ticket, especially if I’m there to see the new Blumhouse movie.
You must be 21 or older to purchase these cocktails. No, duh! Regal reminds customers to drink responsibly. Me, I say throw caution and have two, one per episode. I mean, you really need to try them both, don’t you?
Tickets for the Heated Rivalry screenings are available through Regal’s official promotion page. Regal also showed off a steamy new popcorn bucket and a topless fountain drink cup. You might want to cover the kiddies’ eyes for this one.
Season 2 is expected to arrive in 2027, giving fans a chance to revisit Shane and Ilya’s first season on the big screen while they wait for the next chapter. For anyone who wants to celebrate the show with a little Montreal-inspired lemonade or a cocktail that insists it absolutely is not blushing, November is shaping up to be a good time to visit the theater.
