Freddy Fazbear Animatronic Isn’t Just for Halloween as It Comes to Spirit Christmas, Hot Topic and Spencer’s

Freddy Fazbear FNAF Animatronic

The life-size Freddy Fazbear animatronic that became one of Spirit Halloween’s most talked-about additions this year is getting a life beyond Halloween. The towering Five Nights at Freddy’s character has started appearing at Hot Topic, while Spirit Christmas has teased his arrival for the holiday season.

Spirit Halloween introduced its Freddy animatronic for 2026 at $499.99. Standing tall at 6 feet 6 inches, the officially licensed prop brings the bear from Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza into the real world, complete with moving parts and game-inspired audio. Now, fans who missed out during the Halloween rush may have another chance to find him, although availability and pricing will depend on the retailer.

Hot Topic sightings began circulating online in October, with shoppers sharing photos and videos of Freddy inside stores. The expansion comes after Spencer Spirit Holdings, the parent company behind Spirit Halloween and Spencer’s, completed its acquisition of Hot Topic, BoxLunch, and Her Universe on September 2.

The companies continue to operate independently, but Freddy’s appearance at Hot Topic puts the animatronic in front of another audience already familiar with the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise.

Spirit Christmas has also teased the animatronic through its official Instagram account. In a video posted October 18, Freddy’s box appears wrapped in a large red bow alongside the caption, “Santa’s bringing something a little different to Spirit Christmas stores this year.” The post adds, “Holiday Surprise. Night 1 starts Monday.”

The image identifies the surprise for fans who recognize the packaging, even though the caption itself doesn’t name Freddy. Spirit Christmas has not announced which locations will carry him, how many units will be available, or whether the price will match Spirit Halloween’s $499.99 tag.

For anyone unfamiliar with the original release, Freddy Fazbear is more than a static display. His servo-motor arm waves, his torso sways, and his LED eyes light up and track movement. His jaw and ears also move, while built-in audio includes music from the games, including the “Toreador March.” Owners can activate the performance with a motion sensor or step pad.

The animatronic’s limited availability at Spirit Halloween made it difficult for some fans to track one down during the seasonal rush. The new retail sightings could offer another opportunity, but they don’t guarantee that every Hot Topic, Spencer’s, or Spirit Christmas store will stock the prop. Shoppers should check with individual locations before making a trip, especially given the size and price of the display.

Freddy may have started as a Halloween attraction, but his next stop looks a lot more festive. Just don’t expect the usual cheerful department-store Santa experience when this particular bear starts moving.
