The road back to Arrakis just got a little louder. Tickets for Dune: Part Three are now on sale around the world, and fans can also listen to “Desert Chant,” the first single from the film’s soundtrack, featuring Timothée Chalamet alongside returning composer Hans Zimmer.
Released by WaterTower Music, the track begins with Chalamet humming before gradually building into a forceful war chant. Zimmer, who composed the scores for Denis Villeneuve’s previous two Dune films, returns for the trilogy’s final chapter, with the new single offering a taste of the music awaiting audiences when the film arrives in theaters and IMAX this December.
You can listen to “Desert Chant” through the official WaterTower Music release. The single is also available on major digital music platforms.
Zimmer has a personal connection to Frank Herbert’s science-fiction saga that stretches back to his teenage years. In a statement released alongside the track, the composer reflected on how his love of Herbert’s novel eventually connected him with Villeneuve, allowing the pair to bring the world they imagined as young readers to the screen. Their collaboration has helped define the sound of the recent films, and Zimmer is returning to score the final installment.
The new single arrives as Warner Bros. launches a worldwide ticket push for Dune: Part Three. The official Dune account announced that tickets are available now, accompanied by the film’s latest promotional footage and the tagline, “All legends come to an end.” IMAX has also shared a new poster encouraging audiences to secure their seats for the film’s large-format release.
Dune: Part Three is scheduled to open in North American theaters on December 18, 2026, with international releases beginning December 16. The film will also play in IMAX, where it was shot in part using IMAX film cameras. The format is expected to feature more than an hour of expanded aspect ratio footage, making it a particularly appealing option for fans who want to experience Villeneuve’s return to Arrakis on the biggest screen possible.
The story picks up nearly two decades after Paul Atreides seized control of the Imperium. Now emperor, Paul faces the consequences of his rule as a conspiracy develops around him and his visions of the future grow increasingly troubling. The film draws inspiration from Frank Herbert’s Dune Messiah, moving the story beyond Paul’s rise to power and into the darker consequences of his reign.
Chalamet returns as Paul, with Zendaya, Jason Momoa, Florence Pugh, Rebecca Ferguson, Anya Taylor-Joy and Javier Bardem among the returning cast. New additions include Robert Pattinson and Isaach de Bankolé. Villeneuve directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Brian K. Vaughan.
“Desert Chant” is available now, and tickets for Dune: Part Three can be purchased through the official movie website. The film opens in theaters and IMAX on December 18 in North America.
