‘Don’t Quit‘ Trailer Packs a Punch With First Look at New Tubi Original Boxing Thriller

Don't Quit Trailer Tubi

Listen up, all you Tubies out there in streaming land. Everyone’s free movie service has another new Tubi Original. They’ve been batting a pretty good average lately. Paulington turned me onto these, so I’m excited to check this one out.

Ten years after an accident brought her boxing career to an abrupt end, one former fighter is getting back into the ring for a very different reason.

She’s not chasing another championship for herself. She’s training her younger sister to get the shot at glory she never had. That’s the story behind Don’t Quit, the new Tubi Original from director Chris Stokes. It just dropped its official trailer ahead of its November 13 premiere. The best thing? We only have to wait a week to see it. Not a bad batting average, indeed.

The film follows a fallen fighter whose promising career was derailed by an accident a decade earlier. After spending years away from the sport, she finds herself back in the boxing world when she takes on the challenge of training her younger sister.

It’s a chance to pass along everything she learned. Determined to help someone she loves pursue a dream, maybe she can  find a little redemption along the way. Boxing movies rarely make the road to victory easy. This first-look trailer promises plenty of drama surrounding the fight for that opportunity.

Miki Moana-Kai, Erica Pinkett, and Janaya Berry lead the cast, joined by Miguel A. Núñez Jr., Gisele Joves, Vincent M. Ward, and Jade Ramey. Stokes directs the film, which is produced under the Footage Films banner.

Stokes has an interesting history behind the camera, but his career began in the music business. He became a major figure in the R&B and hip-hop world, working with acts including Immature, B2K, Omarion, and Marques Houston (all of whom I love!). He also helped develop the career of Jhené Aiko. His work with B2K and Houston eventually crossed over into filmmaking, most notably with the 2004 dance drama You Got Served, which he wrote and directed. That’s a straight up classic in my book. Which makes me even more excited to check this out.

Stokes has continued building a substantial film catalog, with a particularly busy run of thrillers for Tubi. His streaming credits include The Stepmother franchise, The Stepdaughter, and Adopted. The latter has also grown into a sequel-producing franchise of its own. Don’t Quit gives him another Tubi release, this time putting boxing and a family comeback story at the center of the action.

The film arrives exclusively on Tubi on November 13, 2026, where viewers can watch it free. For anyone who enjoys an underdog sports story, Don’t Quit is bringing a familiar message into the ring: sometimes the next generation gets the chance you never had, and the best thing you can do is help them make the most of it.
