Wookiee Cookie Helps Celebrate Life Day at Disney World With New ‘Star Wars‘ Holiday Treat

Star Wars Wookie Cookie Holiday Special

The Star Wars Holiday Special might be one of the biggest misfires in Lucasfilm History, but I still get excited when Disney revisits the show’s faux Christmas-like Kashyyyk ceremony Life Day at their parks. This year, they’re celebrating the event with a snack that’ll make even Chewbacca growl with glee.

Star Wars fans visiting Disney World throughout January will have a fun new way to celebrate Life Day. It comes with a sweet side of Wookiee-inspired snacking. The new Life Day Wookiee Cookie arrives November 7, bringing together two oatmeal cookies, cassis eggnog buttercream, and a milk chocolate coin. Mmmm.

Disney included the seasonal treat in its official 2026 holiday food guide, confirming that it will be available at two locations inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Backlot Express in Echo Lake and the Milk Stand in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The cookie will be available at both locations through January 5, 2027, with mobile ordering offered at each spot.

The Life Day Wookiee Cookie consists of two oatmeal cookies filled with cassis eggnog buttercream and garnished with a milk chocolate coin. Its combination of oatmeal and holiday-inspired eggnog flavor gives the dessert a seasonal twist, while the chocolate coin adds a finishing touch worthy of a Star Wars-inspired treat.

Life Day has a long history in the Star Wars universe. The Wookiee holiday was introduced in the 1978 television special The Star Wars Holiday Special, which featured Chewbacca returning to Kashyyyk to celebrate with his family. Although that special has developed a bad reputation of its own over the decades, Life Day has endured as part of Star Wars lore, with fans continuing to celebrate the occasion every year.

Disney’s new cookie gives visitors a chance to join in the festivities while exploring Hollywood Studios. While connected directly to the Wookiee celebration, the treat will be available throughout much of the holiday season. Not just on Life Day, which happens every November 17. That’s the day the Star Wars Holiday Special aired to air-farts and raspberries everywhere.

As with other Disney dining offerings, availability and menus can change, so guests should check the official Disney Parks Blog guide before visiting. If anyone plans on visiting Disney World this year, can you grab me a Wookie Cookie and send it my way? I’ll pay for express shipping. While you are at it, grab me one of those red robes, too.
