Jack in the Box has turned its drive-thru into Springfield for Halloween. The fast-food chain has launched a limited-time The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror menu featuring Krusty-inspired burgers, Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes, a new Spooky Simpsons Sauce, six glow-in-the-dark collectible cups and custom packaging packed with references to the long-running Halloween specials.
The centerpiece is the Munchie Meal of Horror, which comes with either a Double Krusty Burger of Terror or Double Chicken Sandwich of Terror, plus two tacos, seasoned curly fries and a drink. Each meal also includes one of six glow-in-the-dark Treehouse of Horror cups and comes in a themed Munchie Meal box that drops Jack Box into Springfield.
Both featured sandwiches use the new Spooky Simpsons Sauce, a smoky BBQ ketchup created specifically for the collaboration. The burgers are served on custom sesame seed buns inspired by the food seen in The Simpsons.
There are also several Treehouse of Horror meals available separately:
Krusty Burger of Terror
A seasoned beef patty with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and Spooky Simpsons Sauce on a toasted sesame seed bun.
Double Krusty Burger of Terror
Two seasoned beef patties with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and Spooky Simpsons Sauce.
Triple Krusty Burger of Terror
Three beef patties, three slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomato and Spooky Simpsons Sauce, served with fries and a drink.
Double Chicken Sandwich of Terror
Two crispy chicken patties with lettuce, tomato, Swiss-style cheese and Spooky Simpsons Sauce.
The dessert side of the menu gets its own Springfield reference with Forbidden D’oh!nut Holes, inspired by Homer’s deal with the devil in the classic Treehouse of Horror segment. The warm donut holes are coated in cinnamon sugar, topped with pink frosting and finished with rainbow sprinkles.
Even the packaging leans into the episode. The donut packaging features Homer’s transformation into a donut, while the Munchie Meal box includes characters and Easter eggs pulled from past Treehouse of Horror stories.
Collectors may be just as interested in the cups as the food. There are six glow-in-the-dark designs to collect, featuring characters including Hugo, Krusty the Clown, Marge, Kang and Kodos in Halloween-themed artwork. The cups are included with the Munchie Meal of Horror while supplies last.
“This Treehouse of Horror Munchie Meal is the most authentic and funny and scary and deeply Simpsons-y fun food collaboration the show has ever done,” The Simpsons executive producer and showrunner Matt Selman said.
The Treehouse of Horror menu is available now at participating Jack in the Box restaurants nationwide, through the Jack app and at JackintheBox.com for a limited time.
